...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Illinois...Indiana...



  Wabash River at New Harmony affecting Gibson, Gallatin, Wabash, 

  Posey and White Counties.



.Heavy rainfall has ended and flooding will continue. The Wabash 

River is now above flood stage and will crest on April 14.



For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Moderate flooding is 

forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.



* WHEN...Until further notice.



* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, The river is 3 miles wide at I-64.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 7:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.1 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 7:30 PM CDT Sunday was 17.1 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.6

    feet Monday, April 14.

  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
