...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in 

Illinois...Indiana...



  Wabash River at New Harmony.



.Heavy rainfall last week, along with expected rainfall today 

through tomorrow, will keep the Wabash River at New Harmony at or a 

little above flood stage the rest of this week on through the 

weekend. It is forecast to fall below flood stage Monday.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.



* WHEN...Until Monday evening.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.6 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will continue a slow fall, dropping near

    flood stage of 15 feet Thursday. It is then expected to rise

    to a crest of 15.4 feet Sunday. The river is forecast to fall

    below flood stage early Monday afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
