...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT THIS 

AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...A portion of north central Illinois, including the 

  following counties, De Kalb, La Salle and Lee.



* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may remain elevated near bankfull. 

  Flooding may continue in poor drainage areas. Slow moving or 

  standing water may continue.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1135 AM CDT, Elevated water levels were ongoing in area

    creeks and streams with standing water remaining in poor

    drainage areas and fields due to recent heavy rainfall.

    Flooding will continue to slowly recede over the next several

    hours.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Sandwich, Amboy, Shabbona, Lake Holiday, Hinckley, Somonauk,

    Earlville, Waterman, Leland, Paw Paw, Sublette, Woodhaven

    Lakes, Lee, Compton, West Brooklyn and Lee Center.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor 

drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in 

the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
