...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...A portion of north central Illinois, including the 

  following counties, De Kalb, La Salle and Lee.



* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may be out of their banks. Flooding 

  may be ongoing in poor drainage and urban areas. Some roads and 

  streets may still be flooded. Slow moving or standing water may 

  continue and the high water may be slow to recede.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 519 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges

    indicate that between 4 and 7 inches of rain fell on Monday

    evening. It will take additional time for the floodwater to

    fully recede.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Sandwich, Mendota, Amboy, Sheridan, Shabbona, Lake Holiday,

    Hinckley, Somonauk, Earlville, Waterman, Serena, Leland, Paw

    Paw, Sublette, Woodhaven Lakes, Millington, Lee, Compton,

    Troy Grove and West Brooklyn.

A Flood Warning means flooding is imminent or may already be 

occurring. Persons along rivers, creeks, and other waterways should 

take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
