...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Kentucky...



  South Fork Licking River at Cynthiana affecting Harrison County.



.Heavy rain from the past several days will cause the river to rise.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...South Fork Licking River at Cynthiana.



* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, River Road is blocked. Riverside park 

  floods.

  At 19.0 feet, Several roads are closed outside of city limits.

  At 20.0 feet, A large section of city park floods. Water begins to 

  back up in some streets in west side of town.

  At 22.0 feet, Intersections of Pearl and Locust, Poplar and Penn, 

  and Poplar and Cromwell Alley flood. KY 36 (Pleasant Street) 

  between Locust and W. Pike flood. KY 983 before Infirmary Road 

  floods.

  At 23.0 feet, Some homes on west side of town flood.

  At 24.0 feet, Water enters some businesses. Sections of US 62, US 

  27, KY 36 south and west of town flood.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 12:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 21.3 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 12:30 AM EDT Sunday was 21.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.5

    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late

    tomorrow morning.

  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    22.4 feet on 05/20/2020.
