...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by earlier excessive rainfall 

  continues.



* WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas, including the following 

  counties, Osborne and Rooks.



* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 746 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain had fallen

    due to earlier thunderstorms. Minor flooding may be ongoing

    or may begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4

    inches of rain have fallen, but those heavier rainfall rates

    have since shifted off to the south and west of the advisory

    area.

    Natoma and Codell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
