...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...A portion of northeast Iowa, including the following 

  county, Chickasaw.



* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads 

  remain closed due to flooding.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 949 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing

    flooding across the warned area. Dozens of roads remain

    closed due to flood waters.

  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is

    expected.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    New Hampton, Lawler, Ionia, Protivin, Jerico, Chickasaw, Alta

    Vista, North Washington, Bassett, Williamstown and

    Jacksonville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
