...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Kentucky...Ohio...



  Ohio River at Ashland affecting Lawrence, Greenup and Boyd 

  Counties.



For the Ohio River...Minor flooding is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll 

free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Ohio River at Ashland.



* WHEN...Until this evening.



* IMPACTS...At 50.0 feet, Catlettsburg flood gate at 15th and Center 

  Street is closed.

  At 52.0 feet, Minor flooding of roads in low lying areas begin to 

  flood due to backwater from creeks.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 10:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 52.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 10:00 AM EDT Monday was 52.1 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    this afternoon and continue falling to 40.5 feet early Friday

    afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 52.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    52.1 feet on 12/24/2018.
