PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Great Miami River near Middletown.



* WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Water further inundates properties near 

  Route 73 from the east side of the river to Excello.  Several 

  homes and businesses become inundated.  The City of Middletown 

  itself is protected by flood walls and levees to a stage of 24 

  feet.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.2 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.7

    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage

    Tuesday morning.

  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
