...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT THIS 

EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN TOM GREEN COUNTY...



At 739 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with light to 

moderate rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts up 

to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 

ongoing or expected to begin shortly.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  San Angelo, O.C. Fisher Reservoir, San Angelo State Park, Grape 

  Creek, Carlsbad, Lake Nasworthy, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Twin 

  Buttes Reservoir, Tankersley, Orient, Water Valley, Wall, 

  Veribest, Harriet and Us-67 Near The Irion-Tom Green County Line.



People attending San Angelo Stadium, Water Valley Wildcat Field, and 

Wall Hawk Stadium should seek shelter immediately.



This includes the following Low Water Crossings...

College Hills and Millbrook, Howard and Webster, Jackson From 

Knickerbocker to South Bryant, Southwest Blvd and Loop 306, FM 2334 

crossing Dry Lipan Creek, Sul Ross At Red Arroyo Crossing, 

Huntington and Sunset, FM 2334 crossing Ninemile Creek, FM 1692 

crossing Sales Branch and Huntington and Sunset.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
