...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM CDT THIS 

EVENING FOR REAGAN AND EASTERN UPTON COUNTIES...



At 447 PM CDT, At 4:45 PM, local law enforcement reported 

thunderstorms producing street flooding in Big Lake.  The expected 

rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already 

occurring.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Big Lake, Rankin, Reagan County Airport, Stiles and Best.



This includes the following streams and drainages...

  Live Oak Creek, Isaac Draw, Centralia Draw, High Lonesome Draw, 

  Schneemann Draw, Big Jim Draw, South Mustang Draw, Indian Creek, 

  Rankin Draw, Corral Creek and Fivemile Creek.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
