...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 AM PST SATURDAY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of northwest Washington, including the following 

  county, Skagit.



* WHEN...Until 415 AM PST Saturday.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 520 PM PST, Water from the Skagit River has a high

    probability of overflowing at Sterling, just west of United

    General Hospital. Overflow here would send flood waters

    northwest towards Edison, Chuckanut Drive and Samish Bay.

    Water may also flood other areas between the Samish River and

    Skagit River.

    This water will be in addition to flooding of the Samish

    River and could cause major flooding in areas that typically

    do not experience river flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley, Burlington, La Conner, Bay View,

    Edison and Shelter Bay.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
