...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT MONDAY...

...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.



* WHERE...Portions of southwest Alabama, including the following 

  county, Baldwin and northwest Florida, including the following 

  county, Escambia.



* WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads 

  remain closed due to flooding.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1141 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to

    thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned

    area. Between 5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the

    warned area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Daphne, Fairhope, Robertsdale, Point Clear, Loxley,

    Silverhill, Rosinton, Gateswood, Belforest, Clay City,

    Tenile, Barrineau Park, Bay Springs, Montrose and Battles

    Wharf.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.
