...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and major river 

  flooding continues.



* WHERE...A portion of West Tennessee, including the following 

  county, Dyer.



* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads 

  remain closed due to flooding. Emergency management has reported 

  water rescues and evacuations in the city of Dyersburg.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1146 AM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the

    warned area. Flooding is already occurring.

  - Major River flooding will continue through late week at

    Dyersburg on the North Fork of the Forked Deer River.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Dyersburg, Newbern, Bradleytown, Unionville, Miston, Heloise,

    Trimble, Jenkinsville, Evansville, Middle City, Nauvoo, South

    Dyersburg, Finley, Lenox, Big Boy Junction, Millsfield, Viar,

    Fowlkes, Bishop and Bogota.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 

unstable and unsafe.
