  Saint Francis River at Lake City



For the Saint Francis River...including Saint Francis, Lake City, 

Madison...Moderate flooding is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...Saint Francis River at Lake City.



* WHEN...Until Friday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding is occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.0

    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below

    flood stage Thursday morning.

  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
