...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT MONDAY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.



* WHERE...A portion of East Arkansas, including the following 

  county, Poinsett.



* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Monday.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several 

  structures are already flooded. Streams continue to rise due to 

  excess runoff from earlier rainfall.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 236 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the

    warned area. Flooding is already occurring.

  - Local rivers will continue to rise and remain elevated

    through at least midweek. Additional flooding impacts are

    expected across a large portion of the county.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Trumann, Marked Tree, Harrisburg, Lepanto, Tyronza, Weiner,

    Waldenburg, Greenfield, Fisher, Whitaker, Landers, Weona,

    McCormick, Weona Junction, Promised Land, Old Weona, Stewart,

    Bay Village, Maple Grove and Wiley Crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
