...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following 

  counties, Crittenden and Mississippi and West Tennessee, including 

  the following counties, Crockett, Dyer, Fayette, Hardeman, 

  Haywood, Lauderdale, Madison, Shelby and Tipton.



* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT Sunday.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water 

  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It 

  will take several hours for all the water from these storms to 

  work through local drainage systems in urban areas.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 851 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to

    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin

    shortly in the warned area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, West Memphis,

    Brownsville, Millington, Covington, Ripley, Luxora, Cordova,

    Fort Pillow State Park, Meeman Shelby Forest State Park, T O

    Fuller State Park, Memphis, Lakeland, Arlington, Munford,

    Somerville, Brighton and Halls.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
