Warning for the following rivers in Mississippi...



  Luxapallila Creek Near Columbus affecting Lowndes County.



  Noxubee River At Macon affecting Noxubee County.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO THURSDAY AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Luxapallila Creek near Columbus.



* WHEN...From this evening to Thursday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Evacuations will be necessary for some 

  residents along Sand Road, Vernon Road in Steens, and Gunshoot 

  Road. Flooding from Magby Creek is occurring and access to several 

  homes may be restricted due to high water.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 9.9 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    this evening to a crest of 24.2 feet early Tuesday morning.

  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Noxubee River at Macon.



* WHEN...From this evening to early Wednesday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Significant overflow into lowland and 

  cattle grazing land near the Highway 45 bridge.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 21.1 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    late this evening to a crest of 29.5 feet tomorrow morning.

  - Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
