...The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood 

Warning for the following rivers in Alabama...



  Catoma Creek Near The U.S. 331 Highway Bridge affecting 

  Montgomery County.



.Heavy rainfall has occurred since Sunday morning over the Catoma 

Creek basin and a flood warning is now in effect for the Catoma 

Creek.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

conditions warrant.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO EARLY TUESDAY 

MORNING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Catoma Creek near The U.S. 331 Highway Bridge.



* WHEN...From late tonight to early Tuesday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding of agricultural lands in the 

  vicinity of the U.S. 331 Highway Bridge occurs.

  At 24.0 feet, Residential and street flooding becomes a problem...

  and increases rapidly above 24 feet. Several residences are 

  threatened.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.9 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after

    midnight tonight to 22.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then

    fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 6.7 feet

    early Wednesday morning. It will rise to 6.9 feet Wednesday

    morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood

    stage.

  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
