...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a 

Flood Warning for the following creek in Indiana...



  Wildcat Creek at Kokomo.



.Excessive rainfall has brought the Wildcat Creek into flood.  The 

creek is expected to continue to rise tonight and crest slightly 

over 11 feet, about one foot above flood stage.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Wildcat Creek at Kokomo.



* WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow evening.



* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Wildcat Creek overflowing in parks in the 

  Kokomo area.  Flooding of agricultural land possible outside of 

  Kokomo.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 10.8 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 9:00 PM EDT Saturday was 10.8 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.2

    feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early

    tomorrow afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
