...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following 

  county, Marion.



* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 530 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported multiple

    roadways flooded due to heavy rain in the warned area.

    Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1

    and 3 inches of rain have fallen.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Hillsboro, Marion, Peabody, Florence, Goessel, Lincolnville,

    Ramona, Lehigh, Durham, Tampa, Lost Springs, Marion Lake and

    Pilsen.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 

feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't 

drown.
