...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a 

Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...



  Conasauga River at Tilton affecting Whitfield, Gordon and Murray 

  Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING TO WEDNESDAY 

AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Conasauga River at Tilton.



* WHEN...From Tuesday evening to Wednesday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 18 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding 

  begins in the woodlands...fields and pastures along the river  

  upstream and downstream from the gage on the Brackett Ridge Road 

  bridge.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 15.3 feet and rising.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    tomorrow evening to a crest of 18.2 feet early Wednesday

    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday

    morning.

  - Flood stage is 18 feet.
