...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EDT MONDAY...



* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall 

  continues.



* WHERE...A portion of southeast Ohio, including the following 

  counties, Athens, Gallia, Jackson and Meigs.



* WHEN...Until 700 AM EDT Monday.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads 

  remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated 

  with water and may not be passable.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 744 PM EDT, the public reported heavy rain in the warned

    area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to

    begin shortly. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.

    The heaviest of the rain had long since ended.

  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in

    the warned area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Pomeroy, Rio Grande, Racine,

    Coolville, Rutland, Forked Run State Park, Ravenswood, New

    Haven, Mason, Tuppers Plains, Middleport, Chester, Syracuse,

    Hartford City, Vinton, Cheshire, Adamsville and Kyger.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
