PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...Scioto River at Circleville.



* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding occurs mainly west of Circleville 

  along Mill and Canal Roads, as well as Island Road and State Route 

  762, with some Island Road residents cut off north of Commercial 

  Point Road.  Backwater flooding along Big Darby Creek causes 

  flooding along roadways, with backwater flooding along Hargus 

  Creek flooding low areas of Ted Lewis Park. Flooding may occur 

  along State Route 56 north of U.S. 22 west of Circleville.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 7:45 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 19.9 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2

    feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage

    early Thursday morning.

  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
