...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...A portion of eastern Virginia, including the following 

  county, Northampton.



* WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 253 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the

    warned area due to heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or

    expected to begin shortly. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain

    have fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible

    in the warned area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Exmore, Nassawadox, Willis Wharf, Birdsnest, Franktown,

    Wardtown, Machipongo, Jamesville, Silver Beach and Smith

    Beach.
