...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of eastern Virginia, including the following 

  county, Northampton.



* WHEN...Until 315 PM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1213 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in

    the warned area due to heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or

    expected to begin shortly. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain

    have fallen.

  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is

    expected.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Exmore, Nassawadox, Willis Wharf, Birdsnest, Franktown,

    Wardtown, Machipongo, Jamesville, Silver Beach and Smith

    Beach.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
