...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM HST EARLY THIS MORNING FOR 

THE ISLAND OF MOLOKAI IN MAUI COUNTY...

...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.



* WHERE...The island of Molokai in Maui County.



* WHEN...Until 400 AM HST.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 

  streams.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 205 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rainfall

    over portions of the island, with rainfall rates of 1 to 2

    inches per hour. Water levels in the Halawa and Kawela

    streams have leveled off from the elevated levels earlier.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    The entire island of Molokai.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 

to flooding.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 400 AM HST if flooding 

persists.



This Flood Advisory replaces the previously issued Flash Flood 

Warning that was in effect for The island of Molokai in Maui County.
