...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM HST THIS MORNING FOR THE 

ISLAND OF MOLOKAI IN MAUI COUNTY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.



* WHERE...The island of Molokai in Maui County.



* WHEN...Until 800 AM HST.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 

  streams. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings 

  may become impassable.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 458 AM HST, radar and rain gauges indicated moderate to

    heavy rain over the island of Molokai. Rain was falling at a

    rate of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour. Water levels in local

    area streams are rising.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    the island of Molokai.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 

to flooding.



A Flood Watch is also in effect for all Hawaiian Islands through 

Sunday afternoon.

persists.
