...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM HST THIS EVENING 

FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.



* WHEN...Until 1115 PM HST.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 

  streams. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in 

  urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 938 PM HST, radar and automated rain gauges indicated

    heavy rain over the northern slopes of Oahu. Rain was falling

    at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Heaviest rain was

    falling along and north of a line from Waianae Valley to

    Schofield Barracks to Kahuku.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    the entire island of Oahu.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 

to flooding.



A Flood Watch is also in effect for the state of Hawaii through 

Sunday afternoon HST.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 1115 PM HST if flooding 

persists.
