The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Central Simpson County in central Mississippi...



* Until 345 AM CDT.



* At 249 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near Shivers, or 15 miles southwest of Mendenhall,

  moving northeast at 20 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.

  Pinola, Shivers, and Union around 255 AM CDT.

  D'Lo and Mendenhall around 310 AM CDT.

  Braxton around 320 AM CDT.

  Sanatorium around 325 AM CDT.
