.SYNOPSIS...

Drier and slightly cooler weather will prevail across Mount

Rainier National Park this weekend into Monday with high 

pressure. A stronger low pressure system will bring rain, higher-

elevation snow, and gusty winds Tuesday into Wednesday.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit will make it difficult to

move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high 

level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of 

GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these 

conditions.

.SATURDAY...Mostly sunny. A slight chance of rain and snow in the

morning, then a slight chance of snow in the late morning and

early afternoon. Snow level near 2500 feet. 

.SATURDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Freezing level near 3500 feet

decreasing to 2500 feet after midnight. 

.SUNDAY...Mostly sunny. A slight chance of snow in the morning,

then a slight chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Snow

level near 3000 feet in the afternoon. 

.SUNDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly

cloudy. Freezing level near 5500 feet. 

.MONDAY...Partly sunny. Freezing level near 5500 feet increasing

to 6500 feet in the afternoon.
