...GROWING SEASON HAS ENDED FOR THE EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA

PANHANDLE, NORTHWESTERN VIRGINIA, AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF WESTERN 

MARYLAND AND MUCH OF THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA PIDEMONT...



Based on freezing temperatures last night into this morning, the

growing season has been declared over for the following counties:



In Maryland: Washington



In Virginia: Frederick, Clark, Warren, Page, Fauquier,  

Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison, Greene, Orange, Albemarle, and 

Nelson



In West Virginia: Morgan, Berkeley, and Jefferson



As a result, no Frost/Freeze headlines will be issued for these

areas until Spring 2026.
