...GROWING SEASON HAS ENDED FOR WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA...



Based on observed freezing temperatures early this morning, the 

growing season has been declared over for the following counties:



In Virginia: Amelia, Caroline, Cumberland, Goochland, western

Hanover, Lunenburg, Nottoway, Powhatan, and Prince Edward. 



Therefore, no additional Frost/Freeze headlines will be issued 

for these areas until Spring 2026.
