The thunderstorms have moved out of the warned area and no longer 

pose a significant threat to boaters.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for

the adjacent coastal waters.

For the following areas...

Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...

Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...



At 546 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts

were located along a line extending from High Island 157 to High

Island 208 to 9 nm northeast of Brazos 548, moving east at 30 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Tabs Buoy F, Galveston A8, Heald Bank, High Island A23, Buoy 42035,

Galveston 256, High Island A457, High Island A109, Galveston 150,

High Island 157, High Island A131, High Island A142, High Island 63,

High Island A410, High Island A179, High Island A61, High Island A80,

and High Island 208.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.
