Lake...



At 1148 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered strong 

thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These 

thunderstorms were across the Chicago and the western and southern 

suburbs and are moving northeast at 20 knots.



These thunderstorms will produce intense cloud to lake lightning and 

locally gusty winds to 30 knots. 



Locations impacted include...

Harrison-Dever Crib, Burnham Harbor, Hammond Marina, Wilmette Harbor,

Jackson Park Harbor, 31st Street Harbor, Monroe Harbor, Burns Harbor,

Belmont Harbor, Calumet Harbor, Marina Shores at Dune Harbor, and

Indiana Harbor.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until these storms pass.
