Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key out

20 nm...

Florida Bay including Barnes Sound, Blackwater Sound, and Buttonwood

Sound...



At 333 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a 

strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts of 30 to 34 

knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 

Blackwater Sound to Manatee Keys to Crocodile Dragover, moving 

southeast at 5 knots.



Locations that will be affected include...

Coon Key, Mosquito Bank Light, Tavernier Creek, Dump Keys, Mosquito

Point, French Ref, and Twin Keys.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
