Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... The cold front in association with low pressure around 29.0 inches moving east across James Bay through today has largely pushed out shifting winds to the northwest across the lake. These winds have been weaker as well. West to northwest winds then persist through the first half of today. Winds will become light and variable by this afternoon and through tonight, as a weak surface ridge passes over the lake. Mainly light to modest winds are expected Wednesday afternoon and night, before south to southwest winds return Thursday into Friday. Gales are not currently forecast at this time.
