Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest

1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of

the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.



.SYNOPSIS...A ridge averaging 30.2 inches across the lower Great 

Lakes will move to the east coast today. A 29.9 inch low just north 

of Georgian Bay this morning will move to the lower Saint Lawrence 

Valley by Wednesday. A 30.4 inch high will then settle into the 

lower Ohio Valley Wednesday through Thursday. A strong cold front 

will then cross the lower Great Lakes Friday, with a 30.6 inch high 

building into the central Great Lakes and Ohio Valley Saturday.

.WEDNESDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming west. A

chance of snow showers through early afternoon. Waves 1 to

3 feet. 

.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. A chance of

snow showers overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet. 

.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 15 knots becoming southwest. A

chance of snow showers. Waves 2 feet or less. 

.THURSDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots. A chance of

snow showers overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 3 to

5 feet. 

.FRIDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 25 knots becoming northwest to

30 knots. Snow showers. Waves 3 to 5 feet building to 8 to

12 feet. Waves occasionally around 15 feet. 

.SATURDAY...Northwest winds to 30 knots diminishing to 15 to

25 knots. Waves 7 to 10 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet. Waves

occasionally around 13 feet.

.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming west. Lake

effect snow showers likely. Waves 1 to 3 feet subsiding to 1 foot

or less.
