The eye of Hurricane Erin is expected to pass NE through the Outer Mid- Atlantic Waters Thu night into Fri, remaining S of the waters, then move farther away from the area Fri night into Sat. Tropical storm conditions are expected over nearly all of the waters S of the Gulf of Maine. Long period S swell from Hurricane Erin will move into the region today, then continue through Thu night before backing to the SE and E Fri night. A high pressure ridge will move E across the waters Fri night and Sat, then shift E of the area Sat night.
