Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals



Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height

of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than

twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...

A trough of low pressure will slowly push from the far NW waters 

today into the central waters by mid-week before dissipating 

by Friday. High pressure builds northwest of the area over the 

weekend.

to N winds 10 to 15 kt. E of 159W N of 20N, SE to S winds 10 to 

15 kt. E of 159W S of 20N, E winds 10 to 15 kt. Elsewhere, 

variable winds 10 kt or less. Seas 5 to 8 ft.

.WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY...Trough slowly dissipating over 

central waters. N of 20N, NE to E winds 5 to 15 kt. S of 20N, NE 

to E winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 10 ft.

.SATURDAY...NE to E winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. Isolated

thunderstorms NE waters.
