nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea

Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals



Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height

of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than

twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...

A strong front entering the far NW offshore waters will move SE 

across the area today and Tuesday. A weak surface high pressure 

will quickly move W to E over the state Wednesday as another front

approaches the state from the NW Thursday into the weekend. A 

large NW swell will build large seas today into Tuesday.

30 kt. Seas 6 to 11 ft, building to 14 ft NW waters. Isolated 

thunderstorms far NW Half.

of 24N, NW winds 25 to 35 kt. NW of front elsewhere, NW winds 20 

to 30 kt. SE of front, SW winds 15 to 30 kt. Seas 6 to 15 ft, 

building 8 to 20 ft, highest N waters. Isolated thunderstorms NW 

Half. 

.TUESDAY...Front dissipating over far SE waters. N of 22N, W winds

15 to 30 kt. S of 17N, variable winds 10 kt or less. Elsewhere, N

winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 8 to 20 ft, highest N waters. Isolated 

thunderstorms E of 160W.
