At 700 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated indicated showers as well as developing t-storms and isolated thunderstorms capable of producing winds up to 30 knots, frequent lightning, and isolated waterspouts. These were located mainly Mona Passage into the Atlantic offshore waters, moving north, northeast or northwest at around 15 knots. Additional thunderstorms can develop or move over these waters, including portions of the Caribbean and western coastal waters of Puerto Rico. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, possible waterspouts and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. $$
