At 150 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms capable of producing winds up to 30 knots, frequent lightning, and isolated waterspouts. These thunderstorms were located along a line from the Mona Passage into the Atlantic offshore waters, moving north at around 15 knots. For the rest of the morning hours, additional thunderstorms are expected to develop across these waters, including portions of the Caribbean and western coastal waters of Puerto Rico. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, possible waterspouts and heavy downpours.
