High temperatures will warm to near normal levels over the weekend, then to above normals for much of next week. && .DISCUSSION...A very benign weather pattern for the forecast period across southeast Arizona as the region is currently dry northwesterly flow aloft between the upper low near the CO/NM border and a shortwave ridge approaching the California coast. This shortwave ridge will traverse across southeast Arizona on Saturday, briefly flattening out on Sunday before broader ridging moves in over the course of next week with increasing heights. Expect near normal temperatures this weekend, warming to levels about 3 to 8 degrees above normal next week. && .AVIATION...Valid through 26/00Z. Clear skies/SKC conditions thru the forecast period. SFC wind less than 12 kts, favoring a WLY/NWLY direction during the afternoon and early evening hours and variable in direction at other times. Aviation discussion not updated for TAF amendments. && .FIRE WEATHER...Dry conditions are expected the next 7 days. High temperatures will be near normal this weekend rising to about 3-8 degrees above next week. 20-foot winds will generally be 15 mph or less, with occasional gusts to 20-25 mph through at least the middle of next week.
