High temperatures will be below normal today, near normal over the weekend, warming to above normal by the middle of next week. && .DISCUSSION...The large scale picture has an upper low currently centered over southwestern Colorado continuing to track east into the southern Mississippi Valley by late this weekend. Weak shortwave ridging will take place behind this system this weekend across the desert southwest. Near zonal flow to start next week, with more significant ridging mid to late next week. Overall, very quiet weather the next 7 days. Highs today will be between 80-85 degrees from Tucson westward and in the mid to to upper 70s across the lower elevations of Santa Cruz, Cochise and Graham counties. High temperatures warm 2-5 degrees in the Saturday through Monday time frame, and will be right around seasonal averages. High temperatures then warm to above normal levels mid to late next week, with high temperatures in the lower deserts from Tucson westward in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. && .AVIATION...Valid through 25/12Z. Clear skies/SKC conditions thru the forecast period. SFC wind less than 12 kts, favoring a WLY/NWLY direction during the afternoon and early evening hours and variable in direction at other times. High temperatures will be 3-5 degrees below normal today, near normal over the weekend, warming to 3-6 degrees above normal mid to late next week. 20-foot winds will generally be 15 mph or less, with occasional gusts to 20-25 mph through at least the middle of next week.
