Main impact will be record heat both today and Friday as well as

Saturday. Will get a cold frontal passage and expect breeziest

conditions Saturday in the short term period. High temperatures

Friday in the upper 70s to lower 80s valleys and mainly 60s to

lower 70s mountains. Slightly cooler conditions Saturday as cold

front works east with highs mid 50s to lower 60s mountains and

lower to mid 70s valleys. Extensive 25 to 35 mph wind gusts

Saturday afternoon. Will see significant cooling Sunday with

highs 40s to mid 50s mountains and upper 50s to mid 60s valleys.

Warm temperatures return Monday through Wednesday with the

potential for strong winds Wednesday with another cold frontal

passage. Highs Monday through Wednesday 50s and 60s mountains 

and 60s to mid 70s valleys with near normal temperatures 

returning behind the cold front Thursday. Generally dry 

conditions are expected through the entire forecast period with 

grids only having a very slight chance in mountains Saturday, 

then again with the next front Tuesday into Wednesday.

Strong high pressure overhead with its subsidence will keep

skies in SKC conditions for all airports through the entire

period of each TAF. VSBY expected to stay unlimited. 



Which leaves the wind. Wind should continue to slowly weaken on

Fri. This evening, gusts and elevated wind on the order of 15KT

with some locations having gusts to 20KT-25KT ending by 20/04Z.

Expect a shift to slope valley wind effect directions later

tonight, mostly south southwest or VRB. By late morning,

directions will return to southwest to west at KBYI, KPIH, KIDA,

and KDIJ. KSUN appears to have very little time of southeast,

with afternoon wind shifting to a gap wind from the southwest.
