FXUS65 KGGW 251110 AFDGGW Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Glasgow MT 510 AM MDT Sat Oct 25 2025 .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGES: - Warm and dry conditions continue today. - Cold front passage on Sunday will bring breezy conditions and scattered rain into Monday. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: An upper trough off the Pacific Northwest will spin an shortwave into the northern Rockies today. As the wave moves east, it will push the ridge over the northern Plains eastward, and send a cold front across eastern Montana on Sunday morning. While there will be plenty of moisture pulled onshore by the trough, deep westerly downslope flow develops quickly behind the front with the forming of a stacked low over the Canadian prairies by Sunday night. This will generally limit rain chance to generally with the frontal passage. Winds will also be increasing with the westerlies, and will likely reach Lake Wind Criteria for Sunday. A blocking pattern develops over eastern North America by midweek while the more active zonal flow across the eastern Pacific will produce more a volatile pattern to the west. This leads to a larger spread and lower confidence for any solution. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: NBM was used for the forecast cycle although added NBM90 to winds for Sunday. && .AVIATION...
