KEY MESSAGES:



1) High pressure and mostly sunny skies will prevail through 

Saturday night.



2) Breezy conditions are expected on Sunday, west at 10 to 20 mph

with gusts to 25 mph.



3) Scattered rain and isolated snow chances are possible Sunday 

into Monday night.



WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:



Upper ridging will maintain mild and dry conditions over NE

Montana for the first part of this weekend. Meanwhile, a trough

digging into the Pacific Northwest region is sending ample

moisture which will eventually lead to increased precipitation

chances next week.



First of note, look for an initial cold frontal passage on Sunday

with a west wind increasing, potentially nearing Lake Wind

criteria for Fort Peck Lake, though looks marginal at this time.

Light rain is expected on Saturday night into Sunday, especially

southern locations south of Highway 2.



Seasonably cool and dry weather look to follow by about Tuesday

and Wednesday.



FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:



NBM was used for the forecast cycle, though eventual tweaks to

winds may be necessary on Sunday to reflect higher resolution

guidance given marginal setup for Lake Wind possible. Otherwise

continue to have high confidence on mild and dry conditions into

Saturday with a shift to cooler and wetter weather Saturday night

into early next week.
