.SYNOPSIS...Dry and warmer weather is forecast to return today and 

continue through next week. Mainly light winds expected, but 

gusty southwest winds arrive for Sunday afternoon.

.DISCUSSION...A dry and seasonable weather pattern is forecast

over northern Arizona over the next 7 days. Low pressure over New

Mexico is keeping a cool northwest flow over our region this

afternoon, with a few cloud buildups and perhaps an isolated

sprinkle near the AZ/NM line. High pressure will build in 

starting Saturday, bringing slightly warmer temperatures. A trough

passing to our north on Sunday will cause increased west- 

southwest winds of 15-25 mph but very little cooling. From Monday 

through much of next week, stronger high pressure is expected to 

build over the southwest US. Generally light winds, clear skies, 

and daytime temperatures a few degrees above late- October 

averages are forecast.

conditions, no precipitation expected. Winds light and variable or

terrain driven overnight, SW 5-10kts Saturday.



OUTLOOK...Sunday 26/00Z through Tuesday 28/00Z...VFR conditions,

no precipitation expected. Winds SW 15-20kts, gusts 25kts Sunday,

W-NW 5-10kts Monday.

.FIRE WEATHER...Saturday through Sunday...Dry and mild conditions 

persist through the weekend. Minimum humidity will remain in the 20 

to 30% range each afternoon with moderate recoveries each night. 

Southwest winds return on Saturday, 5 to 15 mph, becoming breezier 

on Sunday, 15 to 25 mph.  



Monday through Wednesday...Conditions remain dry into next week with 

temperatures roughly 5 to 10 degrees above average. Light west to 

northwest winds are likely on Monday, followed by northeast winds, 

10 to 15 mph, on Tuesday. Southerly flow returns on Wednesday.
