This feature will continue to dominate the weather across West Central Texas through the next 24 hours, resulting in hot and dry conditions. Record breaking heat will continue today with highs in the mid 90s to near 100. The record highs for today (March 21st) are 98 at Abilene and 95 at San Angelo. Both of these records are likely to be broken this afternoon as highs at both locations with a forecast high at San Angelo of 99 and 100 at Abilene. Bumped up winds a bit from mid morning through the afternoon hours, as the NBM winds continue to be too low. Expect south to southwest winds of 12 to 15 mph, with higher gusts.
